William A. Howell, 88, of Kent, died Friday, November 16, 2012 at KentRidge at Golden Pond.

He was born June 19, 1924 in Harrison County, to Roy C. and Doris M. (Bethel) Howell. He was a veteran of the Army during World War II. William retired from Goodrich Aerospace in 1984 and from Sealmaster Corporation in 1994. He was a member of Rockton Lodge 316 F&AM and the First United Methodist Church in Cuyahoga Falls.

He is survived by sons, William (Lois) Howell of Kent and David Howell of Cuyahoga Falls; grandchildren, Kelly (Chris Wortendyke) Howell of Chicago, IL, Karli (Zachary) Nielsen of Groton, CT and Brett Howell of Kent; brother, Harry (Pat) Howell of Rochester, IN; sister, Jean Smith of Ft. Myers, FL. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Wayne Howell; sisters, Mary Mobley and Doris Endlich.

Memorial service and burial will be held at a later date. Bissler & Sons Funeral Home and Crematory are handling the arrangements.
