Twila Lea (Foy) Burk, 70, of Cortland, passed away Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at her home. Born March 4, 1941 in Elkins, WV, she was the daughter of the late Vernon Lee and Mary Ellen (Rose) Foy. Twila was a graduate of Kent State University earning an Associate's degree in Business in 1980. She worked as an LPN for many years at Trumbull Memorial Hospital and most recently worked as an accounting clerk for Electro Chemicals in Youngstown until the company's disbandment in 1998. Twila loved her family. She enjoyed playing BINGO and computer games, but most of all she preferred to spend her time with her grandchildren whom she adored. She will be dearly missed by her daughter Teresa Burk of Youngstown, stepson Mark (Brenda) Clark of Warren and step daughter Brenda Lee also of Warren, three grandchildren; Carmen and Gracie Burk and Brandi (David) Frost, two great grandchildren, Dallas and Cheyenne Frost, a sister, Patricia Kakiou of Howland, sister-in-law, Diane Foy of Niles, and four step sisters; Sue Cline of Warren, Vesta Hepler of Sharon, PA, Darla Petten of Warren, and Donna Crawford of Liberty. Twila was preceded in death by her first husband John R. Burk in 1972 and also by her second husband Richard E. Clark in 1997, her brother Carl Foy and grandson Daniel Jones. Family and friends may visit Thursday evening from 7 until 9 PM at Roberts-Clark Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be held Friday morning, October 14, 2011 at 11 AM at the funeral home. Twila will be laid to rest in the Johnston Township Cemetery.
