SATTAR, Siddiq A. Siddiq Abdul Sattar, 68, of Avon, passed away Monday, (August 22, 2005) while vacationing in Vancouver, British Columbia with his beloved wife Phyllis Sattar. He was born in India on October 25, 1936 to Abdul and Amna Sattar. Siddiq was employed, for many years, as an engineer by United Technologies, retiring in 1993. Family meant everything to Siddiq and he loved them all dearly. Besides his wife and parents, he leaves his daughters and sons-in-law, Ruksana Mikan and John Mikan of West Haven and Nilofer Kreonidis and Alex Kreonidis of Brooklyn, NY; three grandchildren, Lucia, Virginia and John, Jr.; siblings, Khairoon, Fahmida, Rukhsana, Nilofer, Mohammed, Rosemeen, Asif; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Zohra. There will be no calling hours. Time for paying respects will be held Friday, August 26, 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Carmon Funeral Home & Family Center of Avon, 301 Country Club Rd., Avon. Private burial will follow for family members only. A Memorial Service will be arranged for a later date. A full obituary will appear at that time.
