Ronald L. Hawke, age 73, of North Ridgeville passed away Saturday December 15, 2012 at the Cleveland Clinic following a short illness.
He was born in Berea and grew up in Columbia Township. He had resided in North Ridgeville the past 45 years.
He was a brick layer working with the Brick Layers Union Local 5 since the age of 19 until retiring in 2003.
Mr. Hawke was an avid sportsman, enjoying hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his children, Kevin (Pam) Hawke of Valley City, Curtis (Cindy) Hawke of Grafton, Renee Hawke (David Glacken) of N. Ridgeville, Thomas (Kathy) Padley of Brazil, Edward (Monica) Padley of Olmsted Township, Cindy (Bob) Schiavoni of Litchfield, 16 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, sister Joan (Bruce) Foster of Grafton and brothers, Terry (Sandy) Hawke of Grafton and Larry Hawke of Loudonville.
He was preceded in death by his wife Marian last year, and his parents, Webb and Kathleen Hawke.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 4-7 PM at the Bogner Family Funeral Home 36625 Center Ridge Road North Ridgeville where services will be held 11 AM Thursday. Burial will follow in Columbia Township Cemetery.
