Robert T. Dicus, 87, was born August 18, 1924, he lived in Sheffield Lake for 59 years, and was born in Delphos, Ohio. Mr. Dicus passed away peacefully June 16, 2012 after a lengthy illness at the New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph, Lorain. He was a Lorry driver in England while serving his country in the Army Air Force during WWII. He is retired from the Building Laborers Union, local # 310, where he worked as a Mason in Lorain. He enjoyed yard work and taking care of his lovely lawn, fishing and anything that had to do with his beloved family.

Mr. Dicus is survived by his loving wife Linda L. (nee Cook); children, Karen Stapleton (Ronald) of Florida; Patricia Watson (James) of Vermilion; Robert T. Jr. of Vermilion; Donald (Laura) of Avon Lake; Michael (Ann) of Sheffield Lake; three step-children; Shelly Torres (Rafael) of Beckley WV.; Shannon Martin (Michelle) of Mullens WV.; and Shawn Martin (Christina) of Beckley WV; grandchildren; Natalie, Melissa, Dennis, Nathan, Paige, Steven, Jeffery, Zachary, Hannah, James Coe, Jarrod, Madelyn, Madison, Brantley, Everett and Christopher; great-grandchildren; Nicole, James, Alicia, Brielle, Reagan, Brock, Ruby Ann, Caitlyn, Paige, Robert III; great-great-grandchildren; Matthew, Michael, Gavin, Griffin, Jaxon and Ava; and his sister, Joyce Reed of Westlake. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Caddy and Florence (nee Sator) Dicus; his first wife, Anne; daughter, Vickie Burton; son, Nicholas Dicus; and siblings, Charles, Betty, Margaret, Florence, Richard, Donald and Ronald.

Services will be held for Mr. Dicus on Tuesday, June 19, at 1pm, at the Busch Funeral Home, 163 Avon Belden Rd, Avon Lake, Oh. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 11am until time of service at 1pm. Rev. Stephen Carter of N. Eaton Baptist Church will officiate. Burial to follow at Lakewood Park Cemetery.
