CUYAHOGA FALLS –Frances (Gibson) Mitchell, 85, passed away Feb. 19, 2013. Mrs Mitchell was born in Akron and had recently moved to Falls Village after living at Stow Glen for 8 years. She also previously resided in California, Florida and Cuyahoga Falls. She was a Christian Science nurse and an active member in the Christian Science Church. Fran loved to read her audio books from the Library for the Blind and took advantage of the many services offered to her by the Cleveland Library for the Blind.

She is survived by her children, Ken (Wendy) Gibson of Stow, Patricia (David) Lord of Ravenna and Roger (Maria) Gibson of S. Euclid and 3 grandchildren.

There will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 pm Thursday Feb. 21 in Oakwood Cemetery, 2420 Oakwood Avenue, Cuyahoga Falls, OH. In lieu of other remembrances, memorials may be made to First Church of Christ Scientist of Cuyahoga Falls, 2390 4th St. Cuyahoga Falls OH 44221 or Ohio Library for the Blind, 17121 Lake Shore Blvd. Cleveland Ohio 44110. Arrangements entrusted to Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 330-928-2147.
