Florence Fee Wong was born in San Francisco, CA, on September 28, 1920, and passed away on the evening of January 12, 2013 at Saint Francis Memorial Hospital. Florence lived her entire life in her beloved City by the Bay. She attended Galileo High School and held a fascination for astronomy; she pursued this interest by enrolling in community college courses after high school. At the age of 23, she married Victor Yee Wong with whom she had three children. Florence spent her early years waitressing at the Ramona Hotel but her life's work was spent in co-managing her husband Victor's dry cleaning business on Ellis Street, and raising her three children, all of whom obtained university degrees. Her various pastimes included music, theatre, travelling, cooking and sampling ethnic food. She always had a positive outlook on life and learned to adapt to life's changing circumstances with aplomb. On January 12, 2013, after a sudden illness, she chose to take the next step on her spiritual journey to the higher planes peacefully. We will miss her gentle even-tempered personality, her no-nonsense approach to life, the love she gave to all she met and her wise advice and guidance.

Pre-deceased by her husband Victor, she is survived by her children Dion (Benjamin), Kenton, and Karen; sister May; nephews Brian, Lawrence (Christine), Andrew (Dee), Clifford (Carolyn); nieces Maxine and Laurinda (John), and many grandnephews & grandnieces, including her beloved cats Cary "CG" Grant and Cameron.

A private service for the family will be held prior to the open/public memorial which begins promptly at 1:30 pm, Monday, February 4, 2013, at the San Francisco Neptune Society Columbarium at 1 Loraine Court, San Francisco, CA 94118. Telephone: 415.771.0717. Condolences, memories and photos may be added to the on-line obituary and tribute at www.neptunesanfrancisco.com.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to Self-Help for the Elderly, 407 Sansome Street, San Francisco, CA 94111-3123.
