Elizabeth Carmany, 87, of Kent, died Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at Robinson Memorial Hospital in Ravenna.
She was born February 27, 1925 in Kent to Charles and Mary (Poci) Mandalari. Elizabeth had worked at Davey Tree. She was a member of St. Patrick Church. Elizabeth was a member of the Gertrude Sandford Doll Club and the National Association of Watch and Clock collectors. She was a kind and considerate person willing to do anything to help. She was loved by everyone.
She is survived by son, David Carmany of Kent; brother, Stephen (Rosemarie) Mandalari of Kent; sisters, Jennie Grecco of Thousand Oaks, California, Tillie (Joseph) DeCapito of Delray, Florida, and Norma Dustman of Kent; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Carmany; brothers, Samuel Mandalari and William Mandalari.
Calling hours will be held 6-9 P.M. Friday, January 11th at Bissler & Sons Funeral Home in Kent. Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, January 12th at St. Patrick Church with Father Richard Pentello officiating. Burial will be held at Standing Rock Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association Ohio Valley Affiliate, 5211 Madison Road, Cincinnati, OH 45227 or St. Patrick's School Endowment Fund, 127 Portage Street, Kent, OH 44240.
