Edith Ojala Chapman, age 88, of Perry, Ohio, passed away Friday, February 10, 2012 Cardinal Woods Skilled Nursing And Rehab in Madison, OH.

Born December 3, 1923 in Ashtabula, Ohio to Hilda (Kujanpaa) & Jacob Henry Ojala; she married Donald J. Chapman in Saybrook, Ohio on October 3, 1941.

She was a member of New Day Christian Church. She enjoyed going for long rides in the car and traveling with her husband in their motorhome. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and making ceramics.

She is survived by Husband, Donald J. Chapman of Perry; Sons, William (Konnie) Chapman of Palmetto, FL, Paul (Barbara) Chapman of Perry, John (Kathy) Chapman of Marysville, OH; Grandchildren, Jerry Chapman, Brett (Heike) Chapman, John Chapman II, Julie (Brian) Doutrich, Milton (Lina) Chapman & Carrie Chapman; 14 Great-Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her Parents and Sister, Sylvia Scott

Friends will be received 4:00 to 7:00pm on Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at The Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River Street, Madison, Ohio

Funeral Service will be at 11:00am on Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at the funeral home with Paul Brunsman of New Day Christian Church officiating.

Final Resting Place will be at Perry Cemetery in Perry.
