Dewaine Fulton Graber, age 87, of Lorain, passed away suddenly on Monday, November 7, 2011.

He was born June 10, 1924, in Lorain, Ohio to the late Walter and Sybil Graber. He graduated as valedictorian of his class from Clearview High School. He later attended Watch Tower Bible College of Gilead in Upper New York State.

He and his wife served as missionaries in Chile, South America under the Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society for Jehovah's Witnesses from 1949 until 1964. During this time he also served as Circuit Overseer of Jehovah's Witnesses on the Atacama Desert region of Chile for four years. When he returned back to the United States, he worked for many years in construction in the Lorain area.

He attended Kingdom Hall as an elder of the Spanish Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses in Lorain, Ohio.

He enjoyed visiting people and teaching the Bible.

Dewaine is survived by his wife of 58 years, Jeanne (nee Pomber); and his sister, Geraldine Hall of Lorain.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Jeffrey David Graber in 1992.

The family invites friends to a memorial service on Saturday, November 12, 2011, at 10:30 a.m. at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 2340 Crehore Street, Lorain. Inurnment will follow in Elmwood Cemetery, Lorain.

The Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Rd., Amherst, handled the arrangements.
