Dale A. Scheidler of Elyria passed away surrounded by his loving family. He was born on November 18th 1936 and called to home on his 75th birth-date.
Dale along with loving wife Beverly (nee Hyde) operated and owned a family business, Hyde's Greenhouse, Inc. in Avon for over 35 years. Where he was able to teach his children at an early age what hard work is and be proud of it. It was in those years that his children were able to meet their spouses and also work hand in hand to build the company: Kathy Novak with husband Richard, Pamela Novak with husband Stephen, David Scheidler with wife Donna, Deanna Ferry with husband Stephen and Dale W. Scheidler with wife Susan.
Dale was a master of producing beautiful flowering and exotic plants in the greenhouse business and was well respected for his talents. It was looking at the beauty of nature and what gifts are on this earth that he accomplished his long-time dream of owning horses. Dale and Beverly started Scheidler Arabians and he was able to see the splendor of raising them for many years.
After moving from Avon to Elyria, Dale became the supervisor/foreman of Twin Lake Homes, where he was instrumental in creating the growth of the park community. In his younger years, Dale worked on construction sights; a job he found rewarding. He was happy to return to another one of his passions: building. He enjoyed his final vocation of supervising the park growth for over 20 years and was able to retire.
Dale's greatest accomplishments are the marriage to his beloved wife of 55 years, his ten children respectively, his 11 grandchildren: Danny (wife Amy), Kevin, Tiffany (husband Ryan), Amanda, Chris, Michelle, Breann, Ashley, Gabrielle, Drew, Callie, great-grandson Robby and Cody who thought of him as his grandfather. Dale found great joy in his grandchildren and the life that they were living with his always present influence. He was able to see the marriages and the births of the next generation. For that he was grateful and proud of their choices. He was thankful for the opportunity to teach them and to have the weekly conversations about the Ohio State Buckeye Football team, for which he was the biggest fan.
Dale is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Hilda (nee Myers), brother, Clifford and survived by his brothers; Jerome and Bernard. Sisters; Lois, Margie, Martha and Theresa.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the Salvation Army in your area, as they were an important part of his life. Dale will be greatly missed and always admired.
