Soronen, Christian Dale – age 31 of Memphis, formerly of Kingsport passed away suddenly last week in Memphis. Born May 15, 1981 in Charlotte NC, passed away January 16, 2013. She was preceded in death by maternal Grandparents, Walter T, Jr., and Catherine Carroll Ham, Uncle Walter Ham, III and wife Joan, all of Charlotte, NC; step-sister, Kim Soronen of Lake Wiley, SC, and step-brother, Mark Waddey of Kingsport, TN. Survived by her mother and step-father, Cathy and Rev. Walter Waddey of Knoxville; her sister Catherine Soronen and her daughter Lisel, all of Knoxville, sister, Bonny Soronen and her children, Natalie, Austin, Evan, and Corey, all of Charlotte, and step-sisters, Karen and Laura Waddey of Kingsport, Father E. Dale Soronen and Fiance Debrah Massey, grandmother Joyce Soronen all of Lake Wiley, SC. She was close to her Aunt, Ria Ham of Rock Hill, SC and cousins, Seal Ham, of Charleston SC and Erie Ham of Seoul, Korea. Her passion for fitness and outdoor activities led her to regularly participate in a myriad of sporting challenges. Competitive distance running, mountain biking, motorcycling, hiking, camping, high-performance driving, etc. She worked-out daily in family gyms or on her home equipment. An avid reader and music lover, she also rooted on the Tennessee Vols football teams and the Lady Vols Basketball teams as well as the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team (following in the family footsteps). She enjoyed and loved many pets as a child and young adult and took seriously her quest to improve her culinary skills. Nothing was more important though than her devotion to and dedication to her family and friends, (who were truly her extended family, respected and adored as her very own. She will me missed. The family will receive friends from 10 – 11 am Saturday Jan 26th at Rose Mortuary Mann Heritage Chapel followed by an 11 am Celebration of Life. Interment to follow at Edgewood Cemetery.
