Agnes Klingshirn (nee Krynak), 90, a long time resident of Avon, Westlake, and Hawaii. Passed away Monday, January 14 at her home. She was born November 3, 1922 in Caldwell. Agnes was a strong willed person with and outstanding work ethic, traits she passed on to her four daughters. These traits also helped in her career as a registered nurse. Agnes worked at many local hospitals with her last place of employment the Veterans Mental Health Hospital in Brecksville.
She loved to be with her family and help people in general with whatever they needed. She was a member of Holy Trinity Church Avon and St. Benedicts Painted Church, Honaunau, HI, as well as the church's senior group and food bank. In addition she was a member of the YANO Hall Senior Citizens Group where she played Mahjong with friends. She loved flowers and in Ohio raised roses and in Hawaii orchids.
Agnes is survived by her four daughters, Dianne Krall of Arizona, Donna Graczyk (Ted) of Avon, Patricia Steinman (Allen) of Westlake and Kathy LaRosa (Albert) of Hawaii. Other survivors include grandchildren Jennifer Bothwell, Jason Krall, Beth Rodgers, Melanie Vaszi, Heather Steinman, Tyson LaRosa, and Tiana LaRosa and seven great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters Eleanor Montague and Martha Healy; and many nieces and nephews. Agnes is preceded by her husband of more than 59 years, Bernard; brothers, Michael, George, John, Thomas, Theodore, and Robert Jerome; sisters, Mary Krynak, Veronica Krynak, Helen DeBlauw, and Justine Ruth Ulrich; and parents Mary and Michael.
A Memorial Mass will be Saturday, January 19 at Holy Trinity Church, 33601 Detroit Road, Avon, 44011, at 10am. Private interment will take place at St. Mary's Cemetery.
