Obituary

Elizabeth "Betty" Jane Morgan Treadwell
Betty Treadwell left her body on October 9, 2018.
Betty was adored by all who knew her and brought out the finest in those that were lucky enough to be part of her life. A woman of great depth, Betty was above all else a child of God and lived her life on a spiritual quest that took her all over the world. In the process she impacted the lives of hundreds. She was a seeker, a learner, a woman of service and an inspiration to those who knew her well. Her spirituality was manifest in a broad, deep and spontaneous unselfishness.
There were many other sides to Betty. A mother, a friend, a grandmother, a homemaker, an intellect, a wit, and on occasion a force to be reckoned with! She loved a good book, contemplation, long discussions about the meaning of life, and more than anything the company of her children, friends, and spiritual family. Her laughter was frequent, delightful, and infectious.
Betty was born June 6, 1923 in Wooster, Ohio and lived there until she graduated from The College of Wooster in 1945. She spent the year after graduation as a pre-med student at the University of Pennsylvania, until she realized what she wanted most was to raise a family.
Betty married Warren 'Bud" Treadwell on June 7, 1947. Together they raised four children: Susan Jane Treadwell of San Francisco, California; Priscilla Ann Treadwell Shutic of Avon Lake, Ohio; Amy June Treadwell McKinley (Scott) of Avon Lake, Ohio; and Daniel Morgan Treadwell (Priscilla) of Topsham, Maine. Though Betty and Bud's marriage ended in 1984, the family unit remained strong.
Betty is survived by her children, six grandchildren: Thomas M. McKinley (Melanie) of Olmsted Township, Ohio; Jessica A. Shutic Saldana of Wichita, Texas; William B. McKinley (Alyssa) of Avon Lake, Ohio; James A. Treadwell of Portland, Oregon; Elizabeth M. Treadwell of Warminster, Pennsylvania; Sarah E. Shutic of Lubbock, Texas, and ten great-grandchildren.
The family requests that those who knew Betty celebrate her life in a way that has special meaning for them. Arrangements by Busch Funeral Home. www.buschcares.com 440-933-3202
