Condolence & Memory Journal

Although I didn't know Gary personally, I knew Kim Honroth and her dad and mom. Kim is a very good friend of my niece Cheryl Tracy Campo. Cheryl has kept me current about the lives of Kim and Gary and their children. It is too sad to lose a young man in the prime of his life, leaving two young children and a wonderful wife. My prayers are to all of you. God Bless you all.

I am so heartbroken to hear of Gary passing.I have known Gary since our teen years in high school and shared his love for cars with him.I have many great mempries of him such as his patience in trying to teach me how to drive a stick shift in his Mustang right before I dropped the driveshaft next to our high school when we both should have been in class. Im sorry to say after leaving school I didnt get to see him as much as I would have liked to but did see him on my wedding day in 1990, and occassionally at a store he would be at. He will truly be missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

Gary was the best friend you could have. In 1982 he tried to teach me how to water ski. I was not very good, but as usual Gary was very patient. Gary loved motorcycles, one time he took off and rode all the way to Florida, by himself, just to have a vacation. He left his old motorcycle in my garage for a summer and I got to use it whenever I wanted. I would leave my back door open so if he didn't feel like driving home he could stay. Found him in the spare room lots of mornings.
We would talk about our favorite subject, cars, or should I say Fords? We were called Henry and Edsel at Seven-Up.
Edsel you will be missed.

Gary was a wonderful father who loved his children beyond measure. He was always quick to say "Hello" and treated everyone with respect. We are thinking of you all in this difficult time.

Gary was a wonderful man. He was kind and friendly. We hope Kim, Kayla and Garrett find comfort in the memory of his smile, voice, laughter and deep love for them. He will be missed.

Gary was truly a great man. My family and I have nothing but wonderful things to say about him. He was so kind and generous, and always seemed to be in a good mood. He smiled a lot, and our families had many laughs in one of our yards or even over the fence that separates them. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Manney family as they grieve their loss of a truly special father and husband. He will be dearly missed by our family, too. I truly did not know anyone quite like him. May God Bless you Gary, and keep your loving family well.

We have known Gary for quite a few years now. Bryan and Garrett were in many organizations and sports together. We would run into them at Pinewood Derby, boy scouts, football and wrestling a lot. This past fall I worked with Gary on putting together a football video for the SFL team that Garrett played for. He had taken video of every game. This is just one more example of what a hands-on father Gary was to Garrett. He was always so active in everything that Garrett was part of. We use to joke about the fact that we would always run into each other everywhere. Volunteering for one thing or another. No matter how hard he tried, he could not escape running into a Hickman. I will certainly miss seeing him at those events.

Please know that you all are in our thoughts and prayers.

One of the best people I've ever worked with. Professional in every sense. He will be missed by all.
