Memories & Candles
Deb and family,
My belated prayers are with each of you in the passing of Brother Dempsey.
What a blessing it was to have known Brother Dempsey along with you all during my time in Jasper and our worshiping together at Sixth Avenue.
May the Lord God continue to watch over each of you with a hedge of protection.
Rest in peace my dear Brother.

In memory of one of the neatest men I have ever known, and in honor of one of the nicest families.
I will never forget the dedication he gave to Indian Creek Youth Camp to help make it what it is today. Since I was a kid, I've admired him in his Volkswagon flinging up the dust on those backwoods country roads! Such good times, not forgotten!
May God bless you all.

Debbie and family, I am so sorry for your loss. I worked with Mr. Jones at the polls several times. I enjoyed sharing Auburn stories with him. I pray God will comfort you all in the days ahead.

Mr. Jones was a special friend and outstanding leader for youngsters in 4-H Clubs. He will surely be missed by all who knew him.

What a privilege it was to have grown up on Glenview Drive, across the street from the best neighbors, the Jones. I still feel like family to all of you – Ruth, Rachel, Debbie, and my special friend all those years, Bill. I have so many wonderful memories of Dempsey and how he touched the whole neighborhood. His kind heart was proven by equally genuine actions, and he made everyone glad for his company.
We send our love and deepest

My deepest sympathies Mrs. Jones. It was a real pleasure being your neighbor. I'll always remember Mr. Jones coming and talking to my history classes about WW11 and D-Day. I also, remember how much he enjoyed being with the students.

So sorry to hear of Uncle Demp passing. The things Ben remembers about Uncle Demp is that he was an Auburn fan and his collection of Volkswagon Beetles. Most recently, we remember the visit we had with them and Aunt Ann and Uncle Bob, when they came to our house in Branson, MO. Though there are miles and time between us we love and miss you all.

My first memories of visits to my grandparents' home in Jasper, and Church activities there, include memories of Dempsey Jones. He and his family were always some of my favorite people. Ruth, Rachael, Debbie and Bill, to you I offer my heartfelt condolences for your loss. However, with one as devoted a Christian servant as was Dempsey, our loss is softened greatly by assurance we have the opportunity to live with him again, in a far better Land.
