Dearest Jim and Beve,
Yesterday I was with four Nepali friends at Universal City, when I received the email of Iona's passing. The email saddened with my company today, yet I was grateful that our Good Lord and Master Physician has now chosen to heal her forever!

I never met our blessed Sister-in-Christ except through email and some regular mail over the several years since our e-pal relationship began due to a quirky 'wrong number' so to speak.
I started getting emails that

I never met our blessed Sister-in-Christ except through email and some regular mail over the several years since our e-pal relationship began due to a quirky 'wrong number' so to speak.
I started getting emails that to me at first glance simply seemed like yet another company's way of trying to get me interested in their wares by way of introductory personalized stories.
Instead of just sending the emails to the spam folder, I actually got interested in trying to follow the stories, yet eventually, probably because they grew more and more personal, it dawned on me that this may actually have simply been a case of a wrong email address on her part, so I emberassingly mentioned this in a reply finally.
Dear Iona responded so respectfully yet wryly apologetically, with a question that begged an answer, "why did I let it go on for so long?". Thus commenced our communicating and shared political and spiritual sharings.
I shall miss her input as well as guiding spirit. I understood that she had been through soooo many trials, that she will have the ear of many a Saint from history before my time in her audience.
I share in your profound grief as well as the anticipated joy of the Heavenly reunion ahead.
May God comfort and bless ALL those related and within Iona's wide sphere of influence.

We never met. We were introduced to each other via email by another sister-in-Christ. A prayer warriors' group via email was formed. This has gone on for at least 12 years. She was such a loving person. In her weekly, (sometimes daily) emails she would often share with me her interest in such things like photography, nature, and recipes. She enjoyed music and a good clean joke. She loved her husband (Jim), her children and grandchildren. I am going to

She enjoyed music and a good clean joke. She loved her husband (Jim), her children and grandchildren. I am going to miss all the personal editorials Sis. Iona would forward to me on every subject. I'm especially going to miss those words of encouragement from my older sister-in-Christ. My condolences to the family.

Even though we were apart in miles, we were together in our love of photography. The few years we belonged to the online photo club are my most fond memories. The club members have responded to me that they so enjoyed the photos and stories shared. The times we visited together in Victoria at the family reunions are special recollections. The stories you wrote and shared with me have been interesting to the family to look back at days gone by. We love you and will miss you dearly.

I only Met Aunt Iona as a small girl, but since the passing of my sister Bobbie Jo we have kept in contact. It is a shame that the 9 Langfords were strewn so far and away from the East Coast and after Grandmas passing were were so out of touch.

One thing I do know is that Aunt Iona was a loving and faithful person secure in her Faith and her love for Christ. Even though the last few months were very hard for her physically, I know her spiritual self is Standing in Heaven rejoicing with those who went before her.

May her faith and yours Keep you in the coming time to bolster your pain from this loss. Not a day will go by that you do not feel the emptiness for your Mother, wife, sister, aunt, cousin, but know she is with you in your heart.

Iona's friendship has been such a blessing to us, she will be greatly misses by all who knew her.

She and I have corresponded over the years via the internet. Although we never met, I feel as though I know her. I have enjoyed the photos she has taken and sent to me.
I will miss hearing from her. To her husband and children and family members you have my deepest sympathy.
