I today read the wonderful tribute left by your grand daughter, Shannon. It's content reminded me of the wonderful "Faye" that I knew so many years and life events ago. The tribute by Shannon allowed me to realize that, though I have never know her, I would very much like her.

I have so many wonderful memories of you, and so many things I wish I could share with you. You have a beautiful great granddaughter, her name is Lillian Faye. I named her after the most important person in my life, you. You shaped the person I am today and will always be. Not a day goes by that I don't think about you. Lilly reminds me so much of you from her beautiful red hair to her fiery personality.

I did not know how to channel my grief and I was so angry at God for taking you from me. i do not think anyone will ever understand the giant hole that was left in my heart when I lost you, the ache for you never goes away, you are my best friend and I will never find someone who understood me the way you could. I feel a sense of guilt for abandoning Pepa but watching how he treated you made it literally impossible for me to accept him. In all honesty I always did and always will wish it were him instead of you, but of course life is not fair. I pray everyday that there is a God and that I will see your beautiful face again. You were the light of my life in every sense and will always be. I feel like you gave me Lilly and that there is some divine intervention in her life. If there is a heaven I know you are smiling down and I will always do everything I can to make you proud. Its been three years and the pain never goes away, never fades, I simply get used to the ache that will never go away. I love you more than words can express.
